Chief Financial Officer

Mike Taylor has held the position of Chief Financial Officer of the Dallas Police and Fire Pension System since 2006. He was initially hired as the System's Internal Control Manager in 2004. 

Prior to coming to the System, Mike served the City of Dallas for over 23 years in various positions before retiring as City Auditor in 2004.  Mike served on the City of Dallas Employee Retirement Fund Board for 5 years and as Senior Staff to the City's 457 and 401(k) Deferred Compensation Plans for 6 years.

Mike is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Texas. He also holds the designations as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Governmental Financial Manager (CGFM), and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is active in the Southwest Intergovernmental Audit Forum, currently serving on the Executive Committee.

Mike's education includes a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and Management from Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, Texas and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Management from the University of Texas at Arlington.
